VoiceBox Show #2 Airs On Friday 5 June

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

VoiceBox, NPR affiliate station KALW 91.7 FM's brand new radio show dedicated to the art of singing and the best of the vocal music scene, made a strong debut last Friday night. Thanks to all you listeners out there for your wonderful feedback.

Please join host Chloe Veltman this coming Friday from 10 - 11 pm PST for the next broadcast in this exciting new pilot series.

This week, Chloe dives into the salty depths of maritime music to explore the voices of some of the world’s greatest sea chantey artists. Special guest Walter Askew, front man of the sea music band Salty Walt and the Rattlin’ Ratlines, sings live in the studio and explains that there’s more to sea music than “what shall we do with the drunken sailor.”

About VoiceBox:

VoiceBox celebrates the art of song through highlighting the work of singers, composers, conductors and other amazing vocal music aficionados past and present.
