VoiceBox mentioned in The San Francisco Chronicle

Sunday, January 3, 2010

On December 31, The San Francisco Chronicle published the following teaser about VoiceBox:

VoiceBox, a weekly public radio series dedicated to the art of singing, will start Friday at 10 p.m. on NPR-affiliate KALW (91.7 FM). The show, produced by singer and arts journalist Chloe Veltman, will cover the vocal music scene in the Bay Area as well as national and international artists. The Phyllis C. Wattis Foundation recently supported the project with a $25,000 grant.

"I'm a longtime fan of Terry Gross and Michael Krasny," said Veltman of her vision for the show. "My goal is to bring that same high level of intelligence and depth to my conversations with vocal musicians as they do with cultural figures, authors and filmmakers."
