VoiceBox is NPR affiliate station KALW 91.7 FM's eclectic new radio show dedicated to the art of singing and the best of the vocal music scene.

Tomorrow evening on KALW, VoiceBox heads to Europe for a sonic rendezvous from some of France’s greatest female vocalists past and present.

With special guests Raquel Bitton and Laetitia Mailhes as tour guides, Chloe explores the roots of the traditional French chanson and its impact (or lack thereof) on subsequent generations of artists from the “Yé Yé Girls” of the 1960s to the latest electronica and rap divas. The show originally aired on June 26 2009.
