The Bowls Project: Secrets of the Apocalyptic Intimate

"YBCA is pleased to announce the world premiere of The Bowls Project: Secrets of the Apocalyptic Intimate, an interactive sound sculpture and performance installation, and the fruit of an international collaboration led by visionary composer and "musical rabble-rouser" (The New Yorker), Jewlia Eisenberg and her ensemble Charming Hostess, award-winning architect Michael Ramage, and multimedia artist Shezad Dawood. Drawing on texts from Babylonian Jewish women's amulets known as "demon bowls," The Bowls Project is an investigation into sex, magic, and secret desires."
