Concert for the East Oakland School of the Arts (EOSA) July 23, 8 PM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church (Berkeley, CA)

"OSA, like many public schools in CA and like many arts-related institutions these days, is underfunded. We are hoping with this concert to raise some much-needed extra funds for EOSA, to raise awareness in the community of the excellent work they're doing, and to affirm the importance of arts education for our youth. On the program will be Vivaldi's Gloria, The House of Clouds by Colin Britt (a new piece written specifically for this occasion), Krenek's In Paradisum, and a song cycle I composed for mezzo-soprano and piano--Five Whitman Songs, on poems by (you guessed it) Walt Whitman."

Circa Survive July 27, 7 PM at Rio Theatre (Santa Cruz, CA)
